Szechwan Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 1-2 tbsp butter
  • 1-2 tsp Salty Don’s Szechwan Salt

Trim green beans as needed.

Drop into a large pot of boiling salted water and boil for 5-7 minutes.

Drain well and transfer to a serving dish.

Toss beans in butter and sprinkle with Szechwan Salt to taste.

Notes:

  • Substitute Snow Peas or Sugar Snap Peas for the green beans. Reduce cooking time to 1-2 minutes.

  • Substitute frozen shelled Edamame (soy beans) and boil for about 4 minutes. Add 2 tsp soy sauce with the butter.
